We've been here a bunch of times but I never felt strongly enough either way to make me write a review. Our waitress was great. We ordered the poppers after verifying with the waitress and the menu that they are made with cheddar cheese, as I have an unexplained fear of all things creamy and white. The poppers came out and of course they were cream cheese. The waitress said she had questioned the cook because she also thought they strangely looked like cream cheese and he had assured her that they only use cheddar. Wrong! We sent back the poppers. The waitress was very apologetic to the point that when my wife's order came out and the chips were burned she didn't complain because she felt sorry for the waitress. All in all the food was "meh", but to me it is inexcusable to send cream cheese poppers in lieu of cheddar poppers. Don't tell me they just go to GFS and buy pre-made poppers and don't even know what they are serving!

It's a better bar than restaurant. But you better be ready for a Loud bar. I had the pizza with side of wings. The pizza was bland with not enough seasoning and no garlic. The wings came barely warm. I hear the burgers are good.. But won't be going for pizza, too many other good restaurants around.

Ordered the guacamole appetizer. Chips were very greasy and the guacamole was just okay. Pretty bland... Granted, I ordered the $6.99 burger lunch special and it was served in 15 minutes, as promised but...that's was the only positive thing I can say. The burger was extremely dry, 1/4" thick and smaller in diameter than a McDonalds regular $1 burger. The bun however was large enough to accommodate 1/2lb burger! The fries were tepid, dry and over cooked. They must have been from the bottom tidbits of the bag as there wasn't one fry much longer than an inch. I won't return... Thinking a fast burger lunch for $5 at Dairy Queen beats this dried mess, hands down! And... You get a sundae to boot!

This was only our second time going to Blue 82, mostly because we weren't blown away the first time we went and thought it was over priced, I think that was right after they opened. Going back today however I was much more impressed with the food and service. Our waitress was Allison and she was great, checking in on us quite frequently but not too much. I had the Cobb Salad with balsamic vinaigrette (I know, I ordered a salad at a sports bar??), was a little hesitant because it was $12.99 but it was HUGE and everything in it was really fresh and good quality. The chicken was freshly grilled and moist, the avocado was perfectly ripe, eggs perfectly hard boiled. It was delicious, I didn't expect such a great salad from a sports bar. The only thing I found wrong was that a piece of my avocado still had the skin on it, not a big deal. My husband had the pulled pork and chips and he said it was very good as well. Our kids both had corn dogs which they enjoyed. All in all it was a little pricey but I didn't find it outrageous if you compare it to other places like Boston's. It also wasn't too crowded or noisy, even for a Friday evening at a sports bar, but there were not really any huge games on. My husband and I cold actually have a conversation across the table without yelling which was nice. I also like that they support local sports teams by offering the 99cent kids meals for any kid wearing their uniform to the restaurant, it makes me feel like it's very family friendly. After tonight, we will definitely be back again! Maybe on Monday nights for their 99cent kids meals :)

Great location. And if you don't mind dropping at least $50 for a couple at a sports bar, this place is for you. Good food and appetizers. Perfect spot for any sports fan. They have a lot of large hi-def tvs. Plenty of seating and parking. My one complaint about this place is they're a little highfalutin. Almost everything (from apps to entrees to drinks) is overpriced. Bring it down (at least 25%) and I'd make this place a spot to visit more often. Remember, this is St. John...not the north side of Chicago. One more suggestion, if you're going to offer a Groupon (which is very good), please make it for a larger amount with greater savings to the customer. Paying $12.25 for a $20 Groupon (saving $7.75 on a bill that is guaranteed to be a lot higher than $20) is not going to entice me to come back.

Nachos a real disappointment. Cheese really did not taste good. Tortilla soup excellent. Service good.

I really like their burgers. Their wings are OK, a little pricy.

Given all the crowds at this place every weekend, we decided to give it another go. Still just OK. Ordered bar food this time - wings were pretty good, but the pizza was rather awful. If you enjoy a spicy sauce over a sweeter sauce, then you may enjoy the pizza more than we did. It was crazy busy with people partying, but we didn't particularly feel the vibe. I guess we should just enjoy it as a bar rather than trying to have dinner and it would be ok.

Excellent selection of beers, pretty good food, not top quality, but extremely good for the price. Totally packed for the Blackhawks Stanley Cup game #2, a great experience, very fun and energetic group.

We have been to Blue 82 several times .it is a beautiful bar with lots of TVS everywhere . Overall a great place to watch a game . We went last time on a busy Friday night . It seems to have a very nice clientele . Everyone seemed very laid back and I didn't see any loud raudy drunks . The service was excellent and all the waitresses and bar tenders were beautiful and dressed for the males to notice . Even the manager , that introduced herself to us and asked how our service and food was . They have a excellent selection of beer and other drinks . They have a pretty good sized menu , but I have to agree with the other reviewers the prices are rather expensive for Indiana , but maybe this can be justified by the atmosphere . Which is one that if you wanted to take a guest somewhere nice for a few drinks . I would take them to Blue82 The food was good , not great .I had steak sandwich it just seemed like it was missing something a little bland . Next time I will try a burger , they really looked good and are huge . But for price they should be !

I went there on a day during a bears game. Our server was really nice and she was good! However, when I got my food my food I ordered was wrong. I ordered a burger with just cheese and bacon. I told the girl who brought it out (who was not our server) she told me to just pick the stuff off. I said excuse me...she told me that they just tell people to pick the stuff off unless they order it without it. I wouldn't be telling you it was wrong if I didn't order it with just bacon and cheese. This girl was so rude! she made me sit with the plate in front of me and said that she will get my waiter to take care of it because it isn't her problem! My server felt so bad. She took it back to the kitchen and said they were going to make me a new one. 15 min later my food was brought back out. It was the SAME basket with the same (now cold) fries and the stuff was just picked off of my burger. They use a shredded lettuce and there were little pieces still in my cheese. They should have made a whole new burger and new fries. I don't believe this was totally the servers fault. I think they just have a lazy kitchen staff and were more focused on getting food made for the free buffet at halftime then a paying customer. I will not go back here.

Third time at this location once again the staff was on point, very prompt, the manager was on the floor checking with the patrons and assisting the servers. Other restaurants in the area and others across the nation should take notes as this is how a restaurant should be ran. Let me not forget about the food. You have to try the BBQ chicken nachos, the black and blue burger was great and my sister in law loved the steak sandwich. Value vs. quality I think is a home run and very confused about other posts stating it was over priced, maybe for the negative folks the $.99 menu at Wendy's is more their speed. Best place to watch the game in the area. Although the boneless wings could have been a bit crispier the staff was great and the manager went out of his way to make sure we were doing well and taken care of. 2nd pre-season Bears game $0.49 wings and $5.00 burgers was a great value. I do think I will return and try again. I am not affiliated with this establishment in any shape or form but rather a foodie/restaurateur that is very critical on service, food quality and value.

First, I am not a huge fan of the "Sports Bar", but this place was a pleasant surprise. It is set up like your usual sports bar with lots of TV's, full bar, wait staff in sports-type wear. The food is definitely the winner here and although on the menu looks like just good bar food, there is definitely a lot of care and thought put into its preparation. My wife had the Texas turkey club and I had the "Black & Bleu" burger, which was a blue cheese stuffed burger on a pretzel bun. The food was delicious and we were checked on often....actually a little too often since I was compelled to devour my meal and try to answer the staffs questions; "How is everything", "Can I get you anything", etc... all the time having gooey bleu cheese trying to escape my mouth. I was really hoping to get some pictures of the food, but after trying the nachos appetizer , the last thing I was thinking about was taking photos. There are a couple things that you need to make sure you have when you are there: 1) Have the chips! They are homemade and delicious. 2) Have something with coleslaw! There is something about it that is really different...that little kick of heat after every bite. After appetizers, entrée, desert, and drinks, I was really surprised to see how low the bill was. We will definitely be returning.

Ehhhhh...it was ok. We went for lunch and I ordered the mac and cheese. The server came back after I ordered it and told me they were out of it because they had no macaroni. I am not sure if I would go back.

Went on Tuesday afternoon around 12:30 with my mother and 4 year old son. I didn't think the food was worth the cost. We ordered buffalo-chicken wrap, the tex-mex eggrolls, fajitas, and kids mini-burgers. It was just average. We had a couple of problems during our visit. One, I ordered the kids burgers "plain with just ketchup on the side." Well, they came out as cheese burgers. The manager apologized, saying, "Oh the kids burgers do come with cheese. This must have been a misunderstanding." He offered to remake but when you have a starving preschooler, there is no sending the food back. Also, if the kids burgers come with cheese, the menu should state "mini cheese-burgers" and not "mini burgers" as is stated. My son's milk was not brought out with his meal as we asked. Then, when he was finished eating and soooo looking forward to his chocolate milk, waitress informed me they had no milk because the truck hadn't come that day?!? She just blank-stared at me when I asked what she suggests we should do. I asked if she could make him some ice-cream instead to substitute, and she did. The final straw came when we paid as it was my birthday and there is a big sign on table that states, "Come celebrate your birthday with us and get 10% off of your food purchase." Well, I was, of course, expecting 10% off the food purchase, and imagine my surprise when I only received a ninety cent discount on my buffalo chicken wrap! The waitress said the discount is only on the birthday person's entree. However, the sign clearly said, "food purchase" The manager did honor the sign. The management came to our table 3 separate times without us even calling him over to see how things were going. I'm wondering if that means they have been having issues in the past. All in all, there are many better tasting options with better service in the region. I would not return.

This place as others have said is a true sports bar. It has a warm masculine feel with deep wood paneling and lots of flat screen tv's. I liked it. This was my first time going. So I looked on their website and there was NO menu posted. I went to their facebook, NO menu. So I emailed them. The management said they did not have a menu online but where posting it soon, but if I wanted a copy they could email it to me. It has been over 2 months & it has never been posted online. This leads me to believe what people have said about the management/owner. Fortunately, when I went I did not have to talk with the management. They had an auto show going on in the parking lot with a DJ. It was during those weeks of extremely hot temps so I didn't stay outside, but I thought it was nice. We ate inside. I was undecided between the rib-eye sandwich or one of their signature burgers, so I asked the waitress for her opinion. She said she hadn't tried the rib-eye sandwich but the signature burgers were really good. I thought it was a little odd that a waitress working there hadn't tried all the menu items. One would think they would have waitresses selling their food taste all the menu items during training. However her recommendation of for the signature burgers were great. I got a Blue Burger and my friend got a Western Burger. We both liked our choices. I wasn't crazy about the coleslaw. It was different as another reviewer mentioned. I love cole slaw of many different types but this wasn't satisfying to me. While the food is good & tasty I do think the prices are a little high for a burger. They give the impression that they're serving sports with a gourmet flare. But the food is not gourmet and this is not Chicago. I was not sure if I should give this place 3 stars because of not following through with posting their menu online. They actually have very little information on their website. Most customers that are driving from a distance to check out a new place like to see a menu ahead of time. Especially in this age of technology. But I gave the it 4stars because I think people should give it a try for the food and atmosphere. Just call & ask them to email you a menu.

Came here its 2nd week of being open for March Madness on a Friday night with a good sized group of friends, and we all had a great time. TV's everywhere to watch whatever game you wanted to see, and a wait staff that was on point and courteous, always asking if we needed another drink, more food, etc. It has an upscale feel and look with down home pricing on food and beverages, which was a nice relief. Will be returning, got to try a few different food options and they were all good. Would reccomend the Black & blue burger for sure, and if you're having a few drinks, get a shot of their signature "Blue 82" shot!

Nice atmosphere but the food was lacking. My husband enjoyed his hamburger but he expected better for the price. I had the pulled pork sandwich and was very disappointed. What I got was pulled pork that comes from a plastic container, like the stuff you get at the grocery store. I figure they just scooped it out, threw it in the microwave, and plopped it on a bun. And it took about 45 minutes to receive our food and this was on a Wednesday night. I might expect that on the weekend but it really wasn't that busy. The best thing about our meals was the cole slaw. I don't know if they make it in house or not but it was definitely good! Service was also good. I would go there again for drinks but I wouldn't waste my money on the food.

Went here to watch the bulls game and have a few drinks and dinner.. The atmosphere was decent the service was average the meal however was awful... I had their "famous" wings boneless in hot and mild sauce 1. There was no distinguishable difference between the two sauces. 2. The chicken was extreme and I mean EXTREMELY dry!!!! 3. They weren't actual boneless wings they basically cut up chicken breasts coated them in sauce and fried the hell out of them..: 4. When they came out to the table they weren't saucy at all they had a dry coat on them and had to order extra sauce but at that point once you ruin chicken there's no saving it. 5. The cost of this crap was astonishing! Give me a break!

Something is up with the water in this place. My wife and I couldn't remember why we didn't eat there anymore but as soon as we got the iced tea, water and two lemonades for our kids we remembered. I don't know what it is but the water tastes like crap, and what is strange is that it always has. We have the same St John water they do and we eat in town all the time, but only here does the water taste really bad. Food is your standard bar food with hardly any flair. The nachos were okay, the cheese was shredded and not completely melted, I prefer queso sauce, but it's okay I guess. The buffalo chicken wrap was a pound of shredded chicken with a splash of seasoning, a piece of lettuce (if you want to call it that), and not much more. I was not impressed, kids food was cool, and the server was attentive. Not sure we will be hitting this place up again.

I've been twice and had a stuffed Burger both times. Highly recommend the "Black and Blue". They were so good I can't see myself ordering anything else next time. Waffle fries were great too. All the sports you want on multiple screens. I was there for a lunch meeting and still quiet enough for a meeting/conversation.

2 stars Cons: Rude staff, slow, loud, majority of the food Pro: burger was decent When we first arrived there was no hostess to be seen, so after waiting for awhile we decided to seat ourselves. When a waitress (finally) arrived it was obvious she was unhappy we had came in and continued to be short and rude with us throughout our dinner. The place was extremely loud- I realize it is a sports bar, however on a Monday it isn't unreasonable to expect to be able to hear the person sitting next to you. Once our food (finally) arrived it was disappointing. The appetizer sampler is extremely small and consisted of some of the very plain/bland nachos and a tiny serving of boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers and fried pickles that were mediocre at best. The only saving grace was that the burgers were very good! It's unlikely I will dine there again, but if I did I would get a burger.

It was just alright. The service was good and the waitress was friendly. Place seemed pretty clean. I had an avocado chicken sandwich that was tasty and it came with a side of fries that looked like they were from the bottom of the bag but tasted decent none the less. They had a band and it was really loud but it is a band in a small bar. After the music ended the music was really loud too, I get it, it's a bar. It's a sports bar with tons of television sets. Not really my scene. I think I would still come back on a weekday sometime to get another chicken avocado sandwich. It was tasty.
